Final

Interyanan went into the game with Rovers hoping to follow on their good form with a win in the EFA Cup.

Rovers Started the game with Lewandowski and Neymar as the main attackers with Manolas drafted in at the back seemingly to provide some physical resistance to Lukaku. Haaland failed a late fitness test leaving the tried and tested front three of Salah-Lukaku and Lozano.

Despite Rovers not having the desired preparation for the final they made a good start showing the winning mentality that has seen them get over the line in the majority of the finals they have been in. However on one of the first transitions Salah linked up with Lukaku with the centre forward forcing a good save early on. Directly After Lukaku was through on goal with the Goal Keeper doing just enough to put him off from Scoring after a clever diagonal pass from Dumfries.

However on 12 minutes rovers managed to get Neymar on the ball in the space between the midfield and defence. Hesitant to press with the central defenders Neymar was afforded too much time and played a delightful through ball to Lewandowski. Despite the angle not favouring a finish Lewandowski somehow managed to find the bottom corner with a superb drilled finish across goal.

Alaba was the protagonist for Rovers picking the ball up deep on the left and using his quality to initiate the attack.

Inter became stronger as the half went on Milinkovic Savic with a chance on 22. Just wide! As the half went on Rovers struggled to connect the dots in the attack.

Interyanan however had not really created clear opportunities apart from the chances with Lukaku early on. On 45 minutes exactly Azpilucueta set Eriksen… his shot looked goal bound only to be superbly blocked.

Inter started the half with renewed Focus… Lukaku got on to a forward pass and despite a heavy touch was able to Muscle out Manolas and keep the ball in play, the ball was cut back to Dybala! 1-1 Amazing comeback early doors! Manolas had to defend better in that situation.

The game picked up in tempo Neymar shot on 64 minutes didn’t test the Keeper Salah on 71 just wide.

Interyanan freshened things up with Felix coming on for Dybala and the back line started to dominate The Rovers forwards with Lewandowski beginning to look an isolated figure.

On 90 minutes Salah was put through on goal. The classic up back and through combination excecuted perfectly. Up to Lukaku, back to Felix through to Salah and thats 2-1 Inter in the last minute of Normal time.
