As the season opened with InterYaNan Vs Stoic the sense of upset seemed prominent. InterYaNan performed well in their first season and a win against highly favoured Stoic would go a long way to helping them better the first year’s “success”.

Tika Taka and the barrel-chested Playmaking skills of Nabil Fekir at the heart of the team posed a different proposition than last years smash and grab Belotti led the attack. A mistake by Stoic was pounced upon early and Dybala almost saw Inter take an early lead. The German captain atoning for his earlier error between the sticks with a solid yet expected parry! Stoic settled down however Inter intent on pressing from the front where intent on trying to force an error for an early goal.

As the game settled down the pompous playmakers of Stoic, Modric and Busquets started to control proceedings however the lack of running power in the middle caused sizeable pockets of space for Dybala to spin and initiate counter attacks. Umtitti and Varane however, blocked any gaps almost teasingly giving the illusion of chance only to snatch such non-sensical delusions away from the frustrated attackers.
Towards the end of the second half, Inter began to jump on the offensive with Salah attempting to break the lines only to be called narrowly offside. A late break by Lemar and Wendell on the left saw a chance presented to Michy in the box. The header went over… Halftime 0-0
Inter started the second half as they finished the first, Salah slipped a precise through ball to Michy who’s pull back was well timed and the shot narrowly saved from Dybala by Neuer. Milinkovic-Savic was now beginning to run proceedings, getting the ball on the back foot and playing forward. One Savic initiated attack ended with a tame right-footed effort from Lemar, however, Inter well and truly had the Momentum.
That shot seemed to be the catalyst to awaken the sleeping giants from there hibernation slumber. Tik, tak, tik after a few incisive passes Cavani was in on goal… Great save but Inter were now in a game. The game now end to end. Cavani pressing, Messi Spinning and Sterling looking to take advantage of space. However, a mistake from Inter saw Peresic win possession. As the Croat bare down on Goal, there was only going to be one outcome…. 1- 0 Stoic! Somewhat against the flow of the Game, however, Inter had huffed and puffed but the house of Stoic stood firm!

Stoic now tasted blood. Messi pivotal and Cavani and Peresic now rampant. Inter brought on Rashford for Michy in an attempt to disrupt Varane and Umtitti. However, before Rashford could touch the ball Cavani was celebrating after scoring a typical Striker goal from a well-worked move. For all Inters industry, they couldn’t beat an inspired Neuer and the game ended 2-0 Stoic.
